I started EMDR therapy this week, and I’m sitting with a lot of emotions. Excited. Afraid. Thankful. Uncertain. This image reflects that tension—healing in progress, not yet resolved, but deeply intentional. There’s something vulnerable about choosing to heal when you don’t yet know what will surface, but there’s also something powerful about trusting yourself enough to begin. If you’re in a season where growth feels both hopeful and scary, you’re not alone. We don’t have to be fearless to move forward. We just have to be willing. Take me back here. This was taken in New Orleans’ Insectarium on January 2nd. I absolutely love butterflies and when I walked in to see this display, my heart leapt for joy. For me, butterflies represent a transformation, something new coming to life after pain. I also feel that this is the best way to describe my entire life. There is beauty that comes from pain; there is healing that comes from pain. My prayer for you all this year is that you embrace the beauty that is soon to come. #butterfly
